Chipped Beef Gravy

Ingredients

3 T butter or margarine
3 T flour
3 c milk
1 jar (2.25 oz.) chipped beef (I prefer Armour)

Instructions

Melt butter in skillet at medium heat.  Add flour and stir until bubbly.  Break up chipped beef and add to skillet.  Gradually add milk.  Stir frequently until thicken, about 10-15 minutes.  I grew up on this.  Some like it on toast others prefer it on plain bread.  Do not add salt as beef is quite salty.  I always like black pepper added.
